Our Story
Designer & founder
Orlando Ely
"Two of my grandparents have suffered a stroke and struggle daily with dementia.
I saw the effect this had on both of them and their ability to engage in the activities that brought them joy and purpose.
Because they found current tools child like, I designed blossom to motivate them and help individuals to live well even in the face of cognitive and physical challenge."

Partners
We are very pleased that Blossom’s Frangipani is available through our first retail partner Alzheimer’s Society shop.
For 45 years, Alzheimer’s Society has been providing vital support to those living with dementia, funding groundbreaking research - over £120 million - to improve diagnosis, care and treatment, and campaigning to make dementia a national priority to ensure people are diagnosed earlier and get better support and treatment.
Alzheimer’s Society’s decision to stock Blossom is a fantastic endorsement of our goals and the shared belief in supporting those living with dementia to lead a meaningful and enjoyable life.

Our Mission
As a designer I have a responsibility to create change and do this by placing the user at the forefront of design decisions and development.
Our mission is to enable effective fine motor skill exercise to support individuals to regain and maintain independence.

Development
Blossom was developed following a Human
Centred Design process. Through research, ideation, testing, iteration and refinement, blossom was created.
blossom has undergone multiple user testing rounds with patients and by Specialist Neurological & Research Physiotherapists at St. Georges Hospital and clinical consultancy from Hobbs Rehabilitation and group testing with a London Dementia support group.
